An innocent face, an adorable look, a cute little wag! There are so many things that make it impossible to take your eyes away from these tiny furries; to control the impulse to adopt and take them home the next minute. But as wonderful as it looks in your head, it\u2019s not every time that it comes true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, they are adorable in a way that makes you go \u2018Aww\u2019 every time. But there are certain things you must consider before you start making your pet-dream come true. When in doubt, always ask these five questions to yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. HOW FRIENDLY IS MY LIVING SITUATION?<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    •  Are you living alone? Or sharing your space?<\/li>
    •  Will the people at your home be okay with you adopting a pet?<\/li>
    •  Is it an apartment? Do your housing rules have pet-friendly policies?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      I know the above are too many questions, but it\u2019s essential to sort them out first. And you know what? A little space of their own would go a long way in making them comfortable in your home. It\u2019s a matter of time before it becomes your pet\u2019s home too. As you adopt a pet, you assume some responsibilities also! Welcoming a pet member into your family means making it feel safe at your home, making your home pet friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. DO I HAVE TIME FOR YOUR PET?<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Remember you are bringing home a living breathing tiny being! Along with its little heart, it carries its feeling too! Is there enough time in your daily schedule to play with your furry friend? To take them for a walk, to enjoy a game of Frisbee, to give them a friendly warm hug? It\u2019s essential to plan how you will feed them, make them exercise, take care of them when you are out, or work late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Your pets do need attention, especially a little more when it\u2019s a dog. Feeling deprived of companionship and being in a closed and confined space is not on your pet\u2019s happy list. It often results in destructive behaviour which is neither good for your pet, nor you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • Will I be patient enough to make them learn \u2018how to do their business?\u2019<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                This indeed requires some serious commitment. It\u2019s not that challenging; it just takes a little bit of patience and a little bit of time. And poof, at last, you will have a fair and well-behaved pet as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING MY VACATION?<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  It\u2019s summer, your vacation time of the year. As you walk out your door exploring the world, what will be the situation of your windy furry? Well, there are so many options, of course. You could hire a sitter; leave them in the care of your trusted ones, and one might even take them on vacation along.                   If you have all these sorted out, well congratulations, you may go ahead and adopt one! If not, take a little time off, figure things out before you start to walk along with the pet paws.
